Being born again gives us the right to boldly stand and say, "I am a child of God", and as children of God we have rights and privileges. There are many great and precious promises in the Word of God and they belong to us, as His children. It is time we learned what belongs to us, it is time to reach out and lay claim to it. Yes we have laid claim to our salvation but we are being robbed of our blessings. Satan has lost claim to our spirit but he does everything in his power to keep us blind to our rights and privileges as Gods child. Because we do not get into the Word of God and find out what belongs to us, Satan runs ramped in the affairs of our life robbing us of our blessings and we just go right on letting him because we don't know any better. Or we may think…Oh well…That's life and I just have to take what's dealt to me. So many people who except Christ as their Lord and Savior do not realize that Salvation is more than a promise of eternal life with the Father. Salvation is more than restoration of our spirit, it is complete and total restoration not only of our spirit but of our soul as well as our body and it changes the environment in which we live and move and have our being. Salvation is being made completely whole, spiritually, emotionally, physically and financially and it opens the door for us to walk in the full and complete blessings of God while we are living in this earth.
There are so many promises in the word of God for us as His children, so many rights and privileges that belong to us and it is only through the study of His Word that we can begin to see just what those promises and rights are.
It also tells us in Joshua 1:8, "This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth; but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success." (NKJV) The word, meditate, in this scripture actually means to mutter. It is translated from the Hebrew word "hagah", pronounced haw-gaw', which means to mutter or to speak. We are to mutter the word of God or to speak it to ourselves. We are to pay very close attention to what God is saying in His Word and we are to think about it continually, meditate upon it and keep it within our hearts. God tells us in His Word we are to speak it over and over because when we read the word of God and we begin to think about it, sort of mull it over in our mind and in our spirit, and we begin to speak that word it begins to become real to us. We call that taking root and once the word of God takes root in our spirit it begins to manifest in our life. When I say, "begins to manifest" I mean it begins to produce results in our life. While meditating on the Word of God and speaking the Word of God are vital parts of our success for living in His full blessing God is also saying that in order to receive the complete blessing of walking every day in divine health (and in all the blessings of God) we must also "observe to do according to all that is written in it." Meaning, we are to live our life as the Word of God instructs us to. It is part and parcel of the same package. It is a package deal just as through Christ's work on the cross, salvation and healing for us are a package deal. Yes we can have all of Gods blessings, but the degree that His blessings are manifested in our life will be determined by how obedient we are to live our life according to the Word of God. It is time for the body of Christ to shake off the trappings of the world. It is time for the the body of Christ to rise above the ways of this world and its economical struggles and lay claim to what belongs to us as children of an Almighty, All Powerful, Unlimited God and we can only do this by getting into God's Word and finding out exactly what belongs to us.
