Proverbs 4:20-22
If we speak words over our self or someone else whether they are positive words or negative words we have set a law into motion for those words to be made manifest. So many people today have such negative confessions coming out of their mouths every day concerning their lives or their children's lives and they have no idea of the damage they are doing. They continually confess how broke they are and then wonder why they can't make ends meet. They continually confess how their child is so bad and then wonder why they are always in trouble. These are negative words when once spoken are a spiritual force to be reckoned with and they will come to pass in our lives and the lives of ones we have spoken them over unless we put a stop to them. You may be wondering how we can put a stop to a spiritual force that has been set into motion through the words we have spoken and the answer lies in God's word. Hebrews 4:12 says, "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." (KJV) The word of God is quick and powerful, sharper than any twoedged sword, it was by the words of God that all things were created and it is with the word of God that we can make negative words spoken into existence null and void. By repenting of the negative things we have said and beginning to speak what the word says over any and every situation in our life we can put a stop to any negative word we have confessed. If we will begin to speak what the word of God says about us over ourselves, over our children and our lives we will begin to see a change take place for we will have effectively put a stop to the negative words we have spoken. For Gods word is more powerful than ours and it will destroy the works we have set into motion.
