Devotional
SALVATION
Man was created with a deep desire within their very being to fellowship with the God who created them. There is a place within the heart and soul of man that lay empty and unfulfilled until that place of fellowship is restored within them. Many search their whole lives for "something", "anything" that might fill the void they feel within. Yet there is only One who can fill that void. And even as the heart searches it already knows the truth of that for which it seeks. For within the very heart of every man is placed the knowledge that God does exist for God has said in His word that He has placed the knowledge that... He is... within man.
Romans 1:19-20
19. For that which is known about God is evident to them and made plain in their inner consciousness because God [Himself] has shown it to them.

For ever since the creation of the world His invisible nature and attributes, that is, His eternal power and divinity, have been made intelligible and clearly discernible in and through the things that have been made (His handiworks). So [men] are without excuse [altogether without any defense or justification],
Amplified Bible
It is God alone who can fill that void through Salvation in His Son Jesus who is the Christ, the Anointed One, The very Son of the Living God. It is only through Jesus taking up residence in our hearts that the void we feel to the depths of our heart and soul can be filled.
It is that deep yearning within men that drives them to try and fill the void within. And there will come a time in everyone's life when that yearning will grow very strong and seem to emanate from the very depth of their heart and soul. That yearning is truly a drawing of the Holy Spirit of God. He is reaching out to them to show them the way to fill the emptiness of heart and soul they feel. He is reaching out to them to show them the answer to filling the void within.
The Word of God tells us that He loved us so much that He gave His only Son to die in our place so that we might once again be reconciled to Him and our place of fellowship restored.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

It is through our belief that God does exist and our acceptance of the fact that He gave his only Son to die in our place that we find Salvation. The Word teaches us that if we believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and that He died for our sins and God raised Him from the dead we shall be saved.
Romans 10:9
Because if you confess the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.

If you have come to that point in your life, when all else you have tried to fill the emptiness you feel within has failed, if you feel that drawing, that need, deep within your innermost being I ask you to pray this simple prayer and ask Jesus into your life so that the God of all creation may come to dwell within your heart through the person of His Son Jesus and His precious Holy Spirit.
"Lord God I may not understand all that Your Word teaches about salvation but God I do believe that you exist and I do believe that You gave Your only Son to die in my place so that I may be Your child and have eternal life with You. Lord Jesus, I am asking You to come into my life and to forgive me of all my sins. I am confessing my sins before You this day. And I am confessing You, Jesus, as the Lord of my life. I believe Jesus, with my whole heart and I confess with my mouth that You rose from the dead and that I am now saved. And I ask You, Father God, to begin to teach me through Your Holy spirit all about You and Your ways. I ask You to bring godly men and women into my life who teach about You through Your Words that are found in the Holy Bible. And I pray this prayer to You Father in the name of Your Son,Jesus. Amen."
