Wrestling Against Spiritual Wickedness

Ephesians 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

The Message Bible tell us this way.
"This is no afternoon athletic contest that we'll walk away from and forget about in a couple of hours. This is for keeps, a life-or-death fight to the finish against the Devil and all his angels."
The Word tells us we are fighting against Satan and all his principalities and powers and those he set in authority under his lordship. At times it seems we are fighting against people... People we work with, people we love, friends, neighbors and acquaintances. But in truth it is Satan and his forces that we fight against. But people are the avenue of attack he uses against us.
If we refuse to take offense, if we refuse to allow those he uses against us to ruffle our feathers his spiritual attack and strength is weakened.
God has given us all the tools we need to stand strong and stand firm against the attacks of the enemy. But it is up to us to dig into the Word and take a hold of those tools, to take a hold of our authority and our rights and dominion in this earth and everything under heaven and put Satan under our feet where he belongs.
